See it. Try it. Understand it.
Switch between exploring the interface, watching the guided steps and practising a task. This is a local demonstration with fictional data; it does not change a real account.

What it helps you do
The challenge
- External tools request more access than the task needs.
- Read and write authority are confused.
- A token is treated as permission to do anything.
Explicit scopes and workspace boundaries.
Bounded, redacted operations context.
Separate approvals for any supported write capability.
API & MCP
From setup to everyday use
- Step 1
Confirm the supported tool and private-beta eligibility.
- Step 2
Authorize the intended workspace and scopes.
- Step 3
Start with the permitted read-only operations.
- Step 4
Approve and test any write path separately.
A practical example
An authorized AI tool retrieves bounded operational context through the MCP gateway without receiving unrestricted database access.
Scope & operating boundaries
MCP access is private beta. Any supported write requires an eligible workspace, exact scopes, workspace configuration and signed-in approval; connecting a tool does not enable writes by itself.
Questions, answered
Does connecting ChatGPT grant database access?
No. The connector exposes only the permitted, bounded operations—not a database credential.
Where can I read connection guidance?
The TalosOps MCP guide explains the supported authorization path and access boundaries.
